September 12, 2022 - September 18, 2022The monsoon trough lay across upper Thailand almost the week. It lay across lower northern, upper central, lower northeastern and eastern parts during early week then it moved northward to lie over the northern and northeastern parts on 14 Sep. and lay over Myanmar and upper Laos toward a low pressure cell over upper Vietnam on 15-16 Sep. It moved southward to lie across northern, upper central and northeastern parts during the weekend. In addition, the southwest monsoon prevailed over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand throughout the week. These conditions caused abundant rainfall over upper Thailand almost the week while the southern part received rainfall throughout the week especially along the west coast which had plentiful rainfall almost the week.

Fairly widespread rain during early week and weekend while scattered rain for the rest days. Heavy rainfall occurred in some areas throughout the week. Floods were reported in Lamphun province on 12 Sep., Lampang province on 12, 14 and 18 Sep., Tak province on 12-15 Sep., Phayao province on 13 and 18 Sep., Mae Hong son province on 14 Sep., Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces on 16 Sep. Landslide occurred in Nan province on 16 Sep.

Northeastern
Isolated to scattered rain during early week then fairly widespread rain. Heavy rainfall occurred in some areas throughout the week and very heavy rainfall in some areas during the weekend. Floods were reported in Loei province on 12 Sep., Khon Kean province on 12-14 Sep., Roi Et province 14 Sep., Udon Thani province on 16 Sep., Mahasarakham and Surin provinces on 18 Sep. Gusty wind occurred in Yasothon province on 16 Sep.
